• Land needed for parks and open space. This includes all land for publicly -owned park and open <br />space use within the Eugene UGB. <br />• Land needed for schools. This includes 4J and Bethel school districts' plans for new schools by <br />general location within the City and potential plans for selling surplus school properties. <br />• Land needed for semi-public uses. This includes land for churches, non-profit organizations, and <br />related semi-public uses. <br />3. Public and Semi -Public Land Needs <br />This section summarizes the forecast of needed public and semi-public land on residential land in <br />Eugene for the planning period 2012-2032. Table 1 summarizes where the 143 acres of public and semi- <br />public demand will be met on land in residential designations inside the UGB: <br />Table 1. The City anticipates building a new city hall on publicly owned <br />property. <br />o The community may need some new, smaller public facilities over the 20 -year period <br />that will require City land acquisition or easements on land.
