The data indicate that about 59% of residential <br />dwellings approved were for single-family detached dwellings, while <br />about 39% were for structures with two or more units, and single-family <br />attached units accounted for 2% of units permitted. <br />Table 1. Table 2 shows the total number of permitted dwellings <br />(single-family and multi -family) by year for selected Lane County cities <br />between 2000 and 2012. Table 2 shows that Eugene had more than 67% of <br />permitted units in the region between 2000 and 2012, with Springfield <br />accounting for about one-fifth of permits. The number of permits issued <br />peaked in 2005, with more than 1,900 permits issued.
