Expressing surprise at the small number of people present for the
public hearing, Mr. Boles suggested that notice could have been posted at
bicycle shops and other places bicyclists tend to frequent. Ms. Bishop
responded that a significant outreach effort is planned for the May public
forum.

Referring to an article about municipal government and city composition in
the current issue of the "Wilson Quarterly," Mr. Holmer concurred with Mr.
Boles' observation that the City should consider decentralization of
alternative modes of transportation.

Mayor Miller opened the public hearing. There being no requests to speak,
the public hearing was closed.

Res. No. 4171--A resolution amending the Eugene Bikeways
Master Plan and Addendum thereto.

Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Holmer, to adopt the
resolution.
