He said the City should not put <br />itself in the position of being punitive toward the general public. <br /> <br />Ms. Bascom said she, too, agreed that support for the the bill should be <br />dropped. She said support of the bill would move the City closer to the <br />litigious nature of society. <br /> <br />Ms. Ehrman suggested that the council should be neutral towards the bill. <br />She noted that it a member of the lane County legislative delegation was <br />sponsoring the bill. <br /> <br />Mr. Rutan moved, seconded by Mr. Boles, that the council adopt <br />a neutral position policy on HB2884.
