e

3. Paving, Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer within Whitford Subdivision (South
of Harlow and West of Garden Way) - 15% assessable area for sanitary
sewer outside of subdivision. No city cost.

Mr. Keller moved seconded by Mr. Haws to approve the petitions.

Mr. Williams was under the impression the City paid storm sewer costs.
Assistant Manager explained it is not the case in new subdivisions when the
sewer size is 24" or le:ss. When it is Over 24", the city pays the difference
between 24" and the total size. If building a 24" or less sewer in an
existing Subdivision, the City pays the cost.

On Item A, Mrs. Bea1 wondered who will pay for the 63%. Assistant Public
Works Director advised the storm sewer will be paid for by the subdivision.
The 63% for sanitary sewers is optional but it appears it would be the rrost
economical way to serve other property. If the owners do not wish it, it can
be designed differently. The property does not lend itself to being eligible
for deferral, he said.

Vote was taken on the motion which carried unanirrously.

4.
