Approve <br /> H.Room Tax Allocations: Council Subcommittee proposal - Report of September <br /> 15 from Council members Haws, Keller and Murray has been distributed to Council. <br /> The report suggests adding two City Council members to the Room Tax Committee <br /> and allocating the revenues on the following percentages: Auditorium Fund - 10%; <br /> Charrber of Commerce Tourist Information Service - 25%; Historic Preservation _ <br /> LOti Parks Acquisition and Improvement Fund - 10%; Symphony Programs - 10%; <br /> other tourist related, recreational, and cultural programs _ 35%. <br /> Hr. Williams thought it might be useful to break ou t some historic data on <br /> whether previous allocations were made on the same percentage basis. <br /> In answer to a question from Finance Director, Mr. Haws noted that the desired <br /> effective date of the proposal would be July 1, 1977. <br /> Mr. Haws has distributed a letter to Council dated September 20 from Frank <br /> GeItner, 3055 Kincaid. Mr. GeItner mentions an allocation system whereby the <br />. people decide how funds are distributed through what he calls an "articket" <br /> system. Mr. Haws would like to further study the proposal and bring back to <br /> Council for discussion. <br /> 4-~4 10/11/76 - 19 <br />
