Mr. Bradley said he felt the City Council was not in a <br />position to review the County's reorganizational plans and <br />asked again if it would be appropriate for the City to make its <br />concerns and wishes known. Mayor Keller asked if the City <br />Council could adopt a resolution expressing its concerns. <br />Manager indicated he would like a little time to put together a <br />statement of concerns and said it was difficult to determine at <br />this time what affects the reorganizational plan might have on <br />the city. Mayor Keller asked if staff could prepare for the <br />Council such a statement for March 2, Con~ittee-of-the-Whole <br />meeting. Assistant Manager indicated no detail or substance <br />existed regarding the proposed reorganization on which the City <br />could make an assessment. He said that the City staff is not <br />sure how the County proposes to restructure its reorganization. <br />Mayor Keller asked Mr. Bradley if his request was to have the <br />staff respond back to the Council at next Wednesday's meeting. <br />Mr. Bradley expressed concern over time and felt it might be <br />necessary to have staff make their statement sometime "todayll <br />so that the County would at least be notified of its concerns. <br />Mayor Keller indicated that he felt that it was appropriate and <br />asked Manager to convey "today" to the County Commi ss i oners the <br />concern of the City Council and also to prepare a report for <br />Council to consider at the March 2, Committee-of-the-Whole <br />meeting. Manager indicated that he would prefer a written <br />communication or have the City Council present a statement <br />today rather than have the chief administrative person make <br />such a statement. Mayor Keller said he would make a statement <br />"today" on behal f of the City Council. <br /> <br />Affirm <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />1990 Update Proposal--Mr. Bradley indicated the Council had <br />recieved a copy of the Update Proposal and asked that it be <br />scheduled for future consideration at a Committee meeting. <br /> <br />File <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />Gut.Committee--Mr. Bradley reported a meeting of the Gut <br />Committee had been held Thursday, February 17, at which about <br />50 people attended. He said a report would be ready for the <br />Council in March. He also indicated that City Council members <br />might consider riding with police officers on a Friday or <br />Saturday night to see first hand what goes on in this particu- <br />lar problem area. <br /> <br />File <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />Liquor License Applications--Mr. Lieuallen requested that <br />consideration be given to removing the City Council from <br />reviewing liquor license applications unless staff sees some <br />problems with a particular application.
