Mr. Detlefsen <br /> noted that Springfield gave unanimous approval to the project. Addi- <br /> tionally, he said residents asked to participate will be selected by <br /> computer and asked to volunteer by means of a letter. To keep the <br /> project in check, he said that periodic written reports would be made <br /> to the resource recovery advisory committee, which he will be overseeing. <br /> Mr. Williams asked who will be responsible for items left a long the <br /> street if something went wrong. ~. Detlefsen stated he would be fully <br /> responsible for overseeing the collection. <br /> Mr. Delay wondered if the question had been addressed as to what break- <br /> down would have the greatest public benefit. Mr. Detlefsen said the plan <br /> is to proceed half way through the re-design and perhaps at that time <br /> add additional categories of source separation. <br /> Mr. Williams moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to support the pro- <br /> gram and authorize the City to send such a letter of support <br /> to the participants. Motion carried unanimouSly. <br />XI. Public Hearing Schedule September 26, 1977 . <br /> A. Liquor License Application: New Outlet--Monty's Pizza, 1809 Franklin <br /> Boulevard (RMB), app1icant--Byrd Development, Ltd. (Randy & Vicki <br /> Byrd, Arlen & Shermaine Swearingen). <br /> B. Proposed amendment to City Code limiting the cutting of trees in e <br /> approved subdivisions, major partitions, and minor partitions to <br /> those areas within approved rights-of-way and public utility ease- <br /> ments. <br /> C.
