<br />Ray Willard, HCC, explained the City would request the weeds be cut by ~ <br />the property owner; if they were not cut, the ordinance would allow ~ <br />the City to do it and bill the owner. Don Allen, Public Works Director, <br />said ads are now being run in the paper that the minimum charge is $38 per <br />hour if the City does the cutting. The City does encourage property <br />owners to do their own cutting, with the City doing it only as a last <br />resort. <br /> <br />C. B. 1692--Concerning obnoxious vegetation; amending Sections 6.005 and <br />6.515 of Code, 1971; and declaring an emergency was read by <br />council bill number and title only, there being no Councilor <br />present requesting it be read in full. <br /> <br />Mr. Bradley moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be read <br />the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous <br />consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at this <br />time. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the second <br />time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Mr. Bradley moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be approved <br />and given final passage. Roll call vote. All Councilors present <br />voting aye, the bill was declared passed, and numbered 18199. <br /> <br />V. Calling Public Hearings re: Easement and Street Vacations; Water Withdrawals <br /> <br />C.B. 1693--Calling public hearing July 12, 1978, re: vacation of a ~ <br />portion of 14-foot public utility easement located on Lots 28 ~ <br />and 54 of Parkwood Subdivision (Westover)(EV 77-10) was read by <br />council bill number and title only, there being no Councilor <br />.present requesting it be read in full. <br /> <br />Mr. Bradley moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be read <br />the second time by council bill number only, with unanimous <br />consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at this <br />time. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read the second <br />time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />Mr. Bradley moved, seconded by Mr. Delay, that the bill be <br />approved and given final passage.
