2005 Legislative Session IGR Committee Bill Approval June 13, 2005 <br /> <br /> Proposes amendment to Oregon Constitution to allow revenue from taxes on motor <br /> vehicle fuel and ownership and operation of motor vehicles to be used for policing of <br /> highways. Refers proposed amendment to people for their approval or rejection at <br /> H JR 0005 2 Neut/Am next regular general election. 3/09 <br /> Proposes amendment to Oregon Constitution to dedicate percentage of net <br /> 3roceeds from State Lottery to fund services for prekindergarten children. Refers <br /> proposed amendment to people for their approval or rejection at special election held <br /> H JR 0010 2 SuppOrt on same date as next primary election. 4/21 <br /> Proposes amendment to Oregon Constitution to permit school districts to impose <br /> temporary property taxes that would not be subject to constitutional property tax limits <br /> in order to fund kindergarten classes. Requires tax revenues to be used only for <br /> kindergarten. Requires approval by voters in election that satisfies double majority <br /> voter participation requirements or is general election in even-numbered year. Refers <br /> proposed amendment to people for their approval or rejection at special election held <br /> H JR 0037 2 Support on same date as next primary election. 4/14 <br /> Extends sunset of underground storage tank fee. Declares emergency, effective on <br /> SB 0044 2 Support passage. 2/17 <br /> Allows Department of Environmental Quality to issue individual, general or watershed <br /> water pollution discharge permits. Allows department to issue permits by order. <br /> Allows department to use fees from water pollution discharge permits to administer <br /> any water pollution control program. Directs department to report annually to <br /> Environmental Quality Commission and legislature on administration of watershed <br /> approach to permits.
