2005 Legislative Session IGR Committee Bill Approval June 13, 2005 <br /> <br /> Makes technical, conforming and form and style changes to statutes requiring <br /> instruments to be filed with or presented for recordation to county clerk. Clarifies <br /> whether specified instruments are to be filed with or presented for recordation to <br /> HB 2938 3 Monitor county clerk. 4/28 <br /> Prohibits Department of Transportation from including person's identifying <br /> information on disabled person parking permit placards and decals issued to <br /> ~ndividual or family. { + Authorizes department to require decal or placard to include <br /> not more than four digits of driver license or identification card number of person to <br /> HB 2946A 3 Support whom decal or placard is issued. + } 5/12 <br /> Specifies that orders of Environmental Quality Commission are appealable as orders <br /> HB 2948 3 Oppose other than contested cases. 4/21 <br /> Eliminates offset from State School Fund grant for property taxes of school district <br /> that are imposed on new construction or other exceptions to general rule determining <br /> assessed value of property. Eliminates offset for two tax years following <br /> determination of assessed value under exceptions. Specifies that taxes imposed by <br /> school district on exception value be distributed to school district instead of urban <br /> renewal district if exception value also constitutes increment value in urban renewal <br /> area of certain urban renewal plans. Requires that moneys distributed to school <br /> district under Act be used for capital projects. Applies to tax and fiscal years <br /> beginning on or after July 1,2007. Refers Act to people for their approval or rejection <br /> HB 2964 3 Support at special election held on same date as next primary election. 4/14 <br /> Creates separate crimes for manufacture, delivery and possession of <br /> methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, marijuana and 3,4- <br /> HB 2973 3 Oppose methylenedioxymethamphetamine. 4/14 <br /> Requires notification to crime victim when person who committed crime is going to <br /> HB 2974 3 Support be released from mental health facility to which person has been committed. 4/14 <br /> Establishes Law Enforcement Medal of Honor. Establishes Governor's Commission <br /> on the Law Enforcement Medal of Honor. Establishes Law Enforcement Medal of <br /> HB 2977 3 Support Honor Account. Continuously appropriates moneys in account to Governor. 3/31 <br /> Modifies time periods for which records of financial institution may be disclosed to <br /> law enforcement authorities. Expands definition of financial institution to include trust <br /> HB 2982 3 Support companies.
