Request for Authorization for Agreement: State Department of Transportation <br /> and City re: Fern Ridge Bike Path, Federal Aid Urban System Project <br /> Assistant Manager said this resolution was for construction of a segment <br /> of the Fern Ridge bike path, which is part of the metro area Master Bike <br /> Plan. It would take bicycles off 11th from Quaker to Danebo. The project <br /> would be built with Federal Aid urban funds--78 percent Federal funding, <br /> 11 percent State funding, and 11 percent City. The total estimated <br /> cost was $237,000, with the City's share being $26,000. The project has <br /> been approved by the State Transportation Commission and the City's <br /> Bicycle Committee. <br /> Res. No. 2965--Authorizing entering into agreement betweeen State Department <br /> of Transportation and City of Eugene re: Fern Ridge Bike <br /> Path was read by number and title. <br /> Mr. Delay moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Motion carried unanimously, with Mr. Obie abstaining because of <br /> a conflict of interest. - <br /> 7/26/78--4 <br /> S3~ <br />
