,
Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, that the bill be approved
e and given final passage. Rollcall vote. All Councilors voting
aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 18253.
3. Located east of Oak Patch Road between 11th Avenue and
15th Avenue (Thorn) (Z 78-20)
Recommended by Planning Commission July 18, 1978
Mr. Saul said the property involves 20,000 square feet in an area
designated in the 1990 Plan as appropriate for medium-density develop-
ment. Council will note that all surrounding property is already
zoned R-2.
No Councilors declared ex parte contacts or conflicts of interest.
Staff notes and minutes were entered into the record.
Public hearing was opened.
Boyd Iverson, 637 W. 7th, No.7, spoke in favor of the rezoning.
Public hearing was closed.
C.B. 1744--Authorizing rezoning from RA Suburban Residential District
to R-2/PD Limited Multiple-Family Residential District with
PUD procedures property located east of Oak Patch Road between
- 11th Avenue and 15th Avenue was read by council bill number
and title only, there being no Councilor present requesting
that it be read in full.
Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, that findings supporting
the rezoning as set forth in Planning Commission staff notes and
minutes of July 18, 1978 be adopted by reference thereto; that the
bill be read the second time by council bill number only, with
unanimous consent of the Council; and that enactment be considered
at this time. Motion carried unanimously and the bill was read
the second time by council bill number only.
Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Mr. Bradley, that the bill be approved
and given final passage. Rollcall vote. Motion carried unanimously
and the bill was declared passed and numbered 18254.
4. Located west of the southwest corner of 4th Avenue and
Lincoln (Z 78-21) (Painter)
Recommended by Planning Commission July 18, 1978
Mr. Saul said the property involves 11,840 square feet. He said it is
developed with one residential structure with another on the rear of
the lot awaiting Council action to allow it to become a residence.
Under the present zoning a house can be stored but not used as a
residence. Mr. Saul said rezoning is consistent with the notion of
the Whiteaker Plan, particularly insofar as it encourages further
e development for the property for residential use.
8/28/78--5
583
