<br />e <br /> <br />Martha Filer, 235 East 3rd, Whiteaker Neighborhood Advisory Group, spoke <br />for the restoration of the balustrade at the Oregon Electric Depot and <br />for repainting of the Lane Building in its original colors. She stressed <br />the need to continue the historic preservation of that intersection <br />and indicated that neighborhood improvement work by the University as well <br />as the neighborhood was progressing. <br /> <br />Rose Grant, 2991 Harlow Road, owner of the Harlow House, emphasized <br />the need for the house to be painted in its original colors. <br /> <br />Sharon Poticha, 767 Willamette, told the Council as of yesterday they <br />had a barricade at the corner of the Smeede Hotel Building and hopefully <br />no more damage can be done to the canopy of the Hotel. <br /> <br />Public hearing was closed, there being no further testimony. <br /> <br />Res. No. 3150--Authorizing financial assistance request for the Oregon <br />Electric Depot in the amount of $5,000 was read by number <br />and title. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, that findings suppor- <br />ting financial assistance as set forth in Historic Review Board <br />staff notes and minutes of March 15~ 1979, be adopted by reference <br />thereto; and that the resolution be adopted. No. 3151--Authorizing supporting financial assistance for the Harlow <br />House in the amount of $2,500 was read by number and <br />title. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. lieuallen, that findings suppor- <br />ting financial assistance as set forth in Historic Review Board <br />staff notes and minutes of March 15, 1979, be adopted by reference <br />thereto; and that the resolution be adopted.
