He said one letter in opposition was received on the Fox Hollow
project.
Public hearing was opened.
Mr. Mark Pangborn, 5050 Fox Hollow Road, spoke regarding the paving on
Fox Hollow. City is facing three issues on the project, the existing
environment or scenery, speed of traffic, and increase in traffic. He
suggested that, if the road is widened and natural vegetation is
removed, the trees be replaced.
Public hearing was closed.
Mr. Gilman said there will be an effort to save the trees. Ms. Smith
asked about the replacement of trees and Mr. Gilman said the issue has
not been taken into consideration. Mr. Bert Teitzel, City Engineer,
said that about 50 trees will be removed. Council members feel the
trees should be replaced, and Mr. Teitzel suggested that the project
be allowed to be completed and then reviewed by Council. Mayor Keller
said that, since the project has already received a satisfactory bid
for construction, Council should not delay with their decision.
e
6/25/79--4
34-6
