<br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to adopt the resolution. Roll <br />call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CB 2122--An ordinance ordering a special election to be conducted by <br />the Lane County Election Department on the 24th day of June, <br />1980, for the purpose of submitting to the legal voters of the <br />city of Eugene Measure No. 51, authorizing the City to tax owners <br />of property within the Downtown Development District $229,740 <br />outside the constitutional six-percent limitation for 1980-81; <br />Measure No. 42, authorizing levy in excess of 1980-81 charter <br />tax limit general property taxes of $1,521,766; Measure No. <br />53, authorizing the City to levy partly State-financed property <br />tax of $8,436,177 outside the constitutional six-percent limit <br />for 1980-81 general operating expenses; Measure No. 54, authoriz- <br />ing the City to levy totally City-financed property tax of <br />$1,521,766 outside the constitutional six-percent limitation <br />for genera' 1980-81 general operating expenses; adopting polling <br />places and providing for all acts necessary for the carrying <br />on of said election; and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that the bill be read the <br />second time by council bill number only, with unanimous consent of <br />the council, and that enactment be considered at this time. Roll <br />call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, that the bill be approved and <br />given final passage.
