ROUTINE ITEMS FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL <br /> <br />A. Approval of Council Minutes for May 12, 1980 <br /> <br />Ms. Smi th moved, seconded by Mr. Hame 1, to approve the counc i 1 <br />minutes of May 12, 1980. Roll call vote; motion carried unan- <br />imously. <br /> <br />B. Call for Public Hearing--Mr. Henry stated this would be a call for <br />a publlC hearing on June 23 for council consideration of recommenda- <br />tion of street closure of 14th Avenue between Hayes and Garfield <br />streets. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to call a public hearing <br />for June 23, 1980, to consider street closure of 14th Avenue <br />between Hayes and Garfield streets. Roll call vote; motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />C. Acorn Park Bridge Agreements (memo distributed)--Mr. Henry indicated <br />thlS relates to some of the funding for this project, the bulk of <br />which has been already received. This particular resolution focuses <br />on bike path improvement monies available for this part of the project. <br /> <br />Res. No. 3382--A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />an agreement with the State of Oregon Department of <br />Transportation for the construction of a new bridge at <br />Acorn Park Street. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to adopt the resolution. <br />Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. Acceptance of Federal Aviation Administration Grant (memo distrib- <br />uted)--Mr. Henry stated thlS is a 90/10 Spllt wlth FAA provlding <br />the bulk of the funding. This includes a new fire station and <br />security lighting in the aircraft area. It also includes 62 tie- <br />down areas for aircraft parking and police radio equipment. Larry <br />Schoelerman, Airport, is available for background information. <br /> <br />Res. No. 3383--A resolution accepting a grant from the Federal Aviation <br />. Administration in the amount of $635,490 for a new fire <br />station, security lighting, and aircraft parking. <br /> <br />Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Hamel, to adopt the resolution. <br />Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />6/4/80--4 <br />
