Mr. Lieuallen questioned whether the City can afford the available technology. e The City should look at what can be supported by the public on a cost benefit regulation. He has a problem with deregulation and what impact that will have on the public who have used this service in the past. He asked if there was a need for this service~ if peopl~ are suffering, or if they are finding other ways because the rates would be higher. He stated that he does not know the - answers to the questions but will support deregulation. However, he is concerned. Mayor Keller stated that he has some additional information and ideas which he would share with Mr. Lieuallen. ..' Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. IX. INDUSTR1AL LAND STUDY: TASK FORCE APPOINTMENTS/RESOLUTION (res. distributed) Mr. Henry stated that this resolution is the same as the County Commissioners have agreed upon. Ms. Miller stated that Janet Calvert representing an economic committee, Bob Barkman representing the Planning Commission, Steve Wood representing the general public, and Jim Saul representing the business community are the Mayor1s recommendations. Res. No. 3434--A resolution concerning cooperative study of indust~ial supply and demand for the metropolitan area. Ms. Smith moved, seconded by Mr. Lieuallen, to adopt the resolution e and approve the Mayor's recommendations for appointment to the Industrial Land Study Task Force. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. The meeting was recessed to the joint work session with the Eugene Renewal Agency in the McNutt Room. -. The meeting was adjourned to October 22, 1980.
