Roll call vote; all councilors present <br />voting "aye," the bill was declared passed and numbered 18760. <br /> <br />v. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LITIGATION <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason stated that this discussion is regarding litigation involving the suit <br />by the Chamber of Commerce against the City of Eugene. Staff is recommending that <br />this be settled out of court for $10,226.64 which is consistent with the previous <br />discussion by the council. This amount represents one half of the original <br />1 aws u it. <br /> <br />Ms. Schue stated she assumes this is a negotiated figure. Mr. Gleason assured <br />her that it is and is 50 percent of the original suit and has been negotiated. <br />The Chamber of Commerce is agreeable to the figure that has been recommended by <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamel moved, seconded by Ms. Schue, to award $10,226.64 to the <br />Chamber of Commerce as an out-of-court settlement regarding liti- <br />gation over tourism services.
