The <br /> Chamber entered into a subcontract with the Eugene-Springfield Visitors and <br /> Convention Bureau and he would recommend continuation of this agreement for this <br /> fiscal year. <br /> Res. No. 3552--A resolution designating the Eugene Chamber of Commerce <br /> as the supplier of specific services and authorizing the <br /> City Manager to execute an agreement for provision of such <br /> services for fiscal year 1981-82. <br /> Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> F. Mayor's Proclamation of June 30, 1981, Election Results <br /> Ms. Miller read a proclamation for the special election held on Tuesday, <br /> June 30, 1981. The total vote yes for Measure No. 51 authorizing downtown free <br /> parking district tax was 9,843; the total vote no was 3,650, and there were 38 <br /> overvotes and 523 undervotes. The total vote yes for Measure No. 52 authoriz- <br /> ing general property tax levy of $1,260,185 over the charter limit were 6,122, <br /> the total no votes were 6,743, with 24 overvotes and 1,165 undervotes. The <br /> Mayor hereby proclaimed and declared that Measure No. 51 authorizing downtown <br /> free parking district tax was passed and that Measure No. 52 authorizing general <br /> property tax levy of $1,260,185 over the charter limit was defeated. <br />e She indicated that these figures do not add up because of the way in which the <br /> State legislature requires that they be accounted for. <br /> III. ORDINANCE FOR SECOND READING <br /> A. Street Vacation for Duncan/Hammer (SV 80-3) (memo, map distributed) <br /> CB 2282--An ordinance authorizing vacation of a 40-foot-wide street <br /> located south of Lorane Highway at the terminus of Van Buren <br /> Street. <br /> Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bill be approved <br /> and given final passage. Roll call vote; all councilors present <br /> voting aye, the bill was declared passed and numbered 18334. <br /> IV.
