This will <br /> add a representative .of the hotel to the committee and the art set-aside will be <br /> seven-tenths .of 1 percent. <br /> Res. RESOLUTION REGARDING LAND ACQUISITION GRANT OFFER/FEDERAL AVIATION <br /> ADMINISTRATION (memo distributed) <br /> Mr. Gleason introduced Beb Shelby, Director of Aviation. <br /> Mr. Shelby stated that about one year ago, staff applied for a 300-plus-acre <br /> acquisitien for protection against encroachment fer the airport, but it has <br /> taken Congress a long time to act. Congress has granted $450,000,000 nationally <br /> that must be used within 60 days and they have werked rapidly. They ceuld not <br /> offer the full amount of the grant but this weuld enable acquisition of Parcel <br /> 1--a 93-acre parcel censisting of the Maxwell property. Staff urged the council <br /> to approve this acquisition. <br /> Ms. Weeten stated she has been thinking about the airpert and was wondering how <br /> the cancellation of flights has affected airport revenues. Mr. Shelby stated <br /> that there have been downturns in the gift shop and parking revenues, but the <br /> food facility has gained revenues and space rentals continue as per contract. <br /> There has been ne substantial impact. <br /> Res.
