From that point on, adoption of the proposed land use code changes will follow a <br />legislative land use process. As such, a file record will be created and staff will commence with <br />required notices and additional outreach as needed, draft required findings of compliance with <br />applicable Statewide Planning Goals and other approval criteria, and prepare other supporting <br />materials necessary for adoption of the proposed land use code amendments. <br />{ĭƚƦĻ 9ǣĭƌǒƭźƚƓƭ <br />The Clear & Objective Housing: Approval Criteria Update will encompass all housing types at various <br />densities and price ranges throughout the entire City (where the zoning permits housing). The project is <br />not intended to facilitate or incentivize any one particular housing type such as low-income or <br />affordable housing, multi-family or single-family, secondary dwelling units or tiny homes. These <br />discussions are outside the scope of this project except where they intersect with the stated goals and <br />objectives. The project is only intended to broadly address the land use application criteria and related <br />The scope will be limited to clear and objective approval criteria pertaining to partitions, subdivisions, <br />planned unit developments, site reviews, and conditional use permits. This may result in updating some <br />general development standards applicable to housing to the extent such standards are referenced in the <br />clear and objective land use application approval criteria. <br />While the scope includes refinement plan policies that are already included as clear and objective <br />approval criteria, to the extent they are identified in Phase 1 (such as the South Hills Study policies), the <br />scope does not include an exhaustive analysis of existing refinement plan policies or an attempt to <br />establish clear and objective standards that would implement these various policies through a <br />comprehensive set of design standards.
