Trade Dress. Unique visual element associated with a non-hailable vehicle -for -hire company that is attached to a vehicle affiliated with the non-hailable vehicle -for -hire company so the public and passengers can identify the vehicle as being associated with that particular non - bailable vehicle -for -hire company. Transportation Network Company. A person or business that provides a digital or software application scheduling platform or service that enables a prospective passenger to connect to a vehicle -for -hire. Transportation Network Driver. An employee or independent contractor of a transportation network company that operates a vehicle -for -hire by transporting passengers for compensation utilizing the Transportation Network Company's digital or software application scheduling platform or service. Transportation Network Vehicle. A vehicle -for -hire operated by a transportation network driver. Vehicle -for -Hire. A vehicle used for providing shared transport, which transports one or more passengers for a fee between locations of the passengers' choice, including, but not, limited to, all public passenger vehicles and all transportation network vehicles. Vehicle -for -Hire Company. All public passenger vehicle companies and all transportation network conipanies. R-3.345-13 APPLICATION. 1. No person or business may operate a vehicle -for -hire company without first obtaining a public passenger vehicle company license. 2. An application for a public passenger vehicle company license shall be submitted on a -form provided by the City, and shall include, at a minimum, all of the following: (a) Name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address of the applicant. If the applicant is a business entity, corporation, partnership, association or other organization, the names, business addresses, telephone numbers and date of birth of the person or persons vested with authority to manage or direct the affairs of the legal entity in Eugene ("Authorized Representative") or to bind the legal entity in dealings with third parties; (b) Type of business; (c) Business narne; (d) Registered agent; (e) Method of calculating customer fare, i.e, meter calculated rate or posted minimum, or smartphone application calculated rate; Administrative Order - Page 4 of 19
