MOTION FAILED. <br /> <br />Sorenson stated that the Board of Commissioners would not take any action. <br /> <br />Green didn't believe they had an adequate response on what the potential implications would be. <br /> <br />Leiken stated that Ballew asked staff to come back with comments from the motion made by <br />Bettman. <br /> <br />Bettman thought it was important to give staff direction tonight because of the fast timeline and <br />the fact that it was going to bid September 04. <br /> <br />Childs explained they would have the revised language drafted in time for the Springfield City <br />Council review July 7. <br /> <br />Sorenson asked for the revised language that the City of Eugene would be getting. <br /> <br />Torrey asked when ODOT needed an answer from the joint elected officials. <br /> <br />Scheick stated they are trying to get to bid by the first week of September. He added they could <br />not if they don't have closure with the elected officials.
