MINUTES – Eugene City Council July 11, 2018 Page 2
Work Session

Council Discussion
• Distilling group notes down into actionable items is not an easy process and the notes seem to capture council discussions around how to move forward and with what outcomes they’d like to see, but there are some holes and misconstrued ideas.
• Appreciate having the help to look back on the discussions had and the help to start moving forward.
• It is clear that Council will have to vote on a defined list of things in order to move forward in a certain and clear direction.
• The line between subsidized, low-income, and other types of housing needs to be made clearer.
• Public safety is important, but in addition to downtown public safety, consider adding a focus on neighborhoods and transportation corridors.
• Appreciate the follow up to the retreat and clearly defining the goals. The meeting adjourned at 1:12 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Elena Domingo Deputy City Recorder
