Because this is a unanimous a :tion by Council directing the Manager to <br /> p~sue the goal, he has the authority to do whatever is in the City's power to achieve the goal. <br /> There has been controversy and misinformation, or j~ ~st plain lack of information, circulating in <br /> the community. The CMO has an Information Speci~Llist that has not engaged in any effort to talk <br /> to the community or disseminate information regarding the matter. I see this as a failure to use <br /> appropriate available services, or department resourc es to be effective and meet the community <br /> need. This issue could go just as easily under the cal egory of Mayor and Council Support or <br /> Council Goals and Service Delivery.
