That resolmion placed two measures concerning transportation alternatives <br />for West Eugene on the NOvember ballot. Measure 20-53 "Transpor~t~on* Improvements in West <br />EUgene, Not Including the West Eugene Parkway" ~ked: "Shall CiW work with gove~ent <br />pruners to pursue comprehensive 2anspormtion and land use strategies and projects for west <br />E <br /> ugene. Measure 20~54 "West Eugene Parkway-" asked voters: "Shall City purs~ ~ding and <br />~anspo~ation and land ~e approvals to facilitate construction of the West Eugene Parkway?" <br /> <br />In adopting TranSPlan follo~g the Aught 2001 decision to call a special election bm prior to <br />the November 6i 2001 election, the Tr~P!~ adopting officials recognized that amendments to <br />Transpl~ would need to be considered if either of the ballot measures passed. <br /> <br />On November 6~ 2001, Eugene voters approved Ballot Meas~e 20-54; Ballot Measure 20-53 <br />failed; AlthoUgh the voters had already approved the route of the West Eugene Parkway in <br /> <br />Transpl~ ~d Metro Plan Amendments <br />Exhibit C ~ F~dings <br /> <br />Page 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
