<br />3a Please describe the structure of your firm a Please include information <br />regarding who would potentially be assigned to this search as well as <br />the level and structure of staff th'at would be involved in supporting <br />the searcha Also describe the number of oth?r recruitments that the <br />lead on this search will be committed to in the same timeframe. <br /> <br />The Mercer Group, Inc. has branch offices in Colorado, Texas, <br />Michigan, Georgia, Louisiana, Arizona, North Carolina, New <br />Mexico, Oklahoma and California. We will work on the <br />assignment from our California office. This search will be <br />personally conducted by Mr. Clark Wurzberger, Senior Vice <br />President and Manager of our California offic'e, located in the <br />Sacramento area. Mr. Wurzberger will be responsible for all <br />tasks associated with the project and' will be assisted by Mr. <br />James L. Mercer, President and CEO of the Mercer Group, Inc. <br />Mr. Wurzberger is just completing a search for an Executive <br />Director of Community Planning for a major university city in <br />Colorado and has just initiated a search for a Chief of Police for a <br />California city with a population of approximately 100,000. <br /> <br />4. Please include a tentative timeline for this recruitment based on your <br />experience. In your response, please keep he following information <br />and timelines in mind: <br />. Tentative initial meeting with the Mayor and City Council after <br />selection for the process.a Sometime between September 15-24, <br />2008 <br />. Council Breaka. December 11, 2008 - January 5, 2008 <br />. Council Members m_ay want to view the application information <br />submitted by every candidate <br /> <br />The search process normally takes 90 -120 days to complete after <br />approval of the-Position Profile. Mr. Wurzberger is available for <br />an initial meeting with the Mayor and City Council from <br />September 15 - 19, but Mr. Wurzberger and Mr. Mercer are <br />expecting to exhibit at the Exposition of the International City <br />and County Management Association in Richmond, Virginia from <br />September 20 - 23. Mr. Wurzberger and Mr. Mercer have the <br />time available to devote to the completion of this search <br />assignment. <br />
