Mayor, City Council and other stakeholders of <br />their choice to determine their objectives relative to the search, we <br />would conduct the following steps: <br /> <br />a. Analyze the position and draft a, Position Profile <br />b. Recruit for the position on a regional and national basis <br />c. .Invite potential candidates to app~y who meet the criteria <br />established by the City <br />d. Review and screen applications <br />e. Conduct interviews and background checks of selected <br />candidates <br />f. Recommend a list of final candidates with reports, <br />suggested questions and forms <br />g. Coordinate final interviews, conduct final background <br />checks, negotiation and follow-up <br /> <br />Our approach is highly interactive and significantly involves the <br />client in all important steps of the process. <br /> <br />Key sources targeted for this recruitment would be sources .and <br />potential c.andidates from our existing database and an extensive <br />sourcing campaign utilizing nationally respected law enforcement <br />organizations such as the International Association of Chi~fs of <br />Police, Police Executives Research Forum, the Police Foundation, <br />the National Organization. of Black Law Enforcement Executives, <br />the California Association of Chiefs of Police and the California <br />Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, in addition <br />to regional law enforcement associations located throughout the <br />Northwest. <br />
