June 10, 2019, Meeting – Item 7 <br /> <br />Police Commission The Police Commission has four vacancies, with two incumbents eligible and applying for reappointment. Per Eugene Code 2.368, the mayor nominates candidates to council for this group. Mayor Vinis’ nominations are included in the following suggested motions: <br />Move to reappoint Terry Robertson to the Police Commission for a four-year term beginning July 1, <br />2019, and ending on June 30, 2023. <br />Move to reappoint Sean Shivers to the Police Commission for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2019, <br />and ending on June 30, 2023. <br />Move to appoint Vi Huyn to the Police Commission for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2019, and <br />ending on June 30, 2023. <br />Move to appoint Matt Siel to the Police Commission for a four-year term beginning July 1, 2019, and <br />ending on June 30, 2023. <br /> <br />Toxics Board There are two vacancies on the Toxics Board (one Advocacy and one Industry). A single application was received for the Advocacy position from incumbent Nicole Paterson; she received enough votes to be nominated for reappointment. Staff and Board continue to recruit for the Industry position. <br /> <br />Move to reappoint Nicole Paterson to the Toxics Board for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2019, <br />and ending on June 30, 2022. <br /> <br />Whilamut Citizen Planning Committee The Whilamut Citizen Planning Committee has five vacancies. One incumbent and one new applicant applied. The mayor nominates candidates to council for this group. Mayor Vinis’ nominations are contained in the following suggested motions: <br />Move to reappoint Laurel Burke to the Whilamut Citizen Planning Committee for a three-year term <br />beginning July 1, 2019, and ending on June 30, 2022. <br /> <br />Move to appoint Ruth Hyde to the Whilamut Citizen Planning Committee for a three-year term <br />beginning July 1, 2019, and ending on June 30, 2022. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTSA.
