The Sgt. also reached out <br />to RP and answered his questions. <br />11/2/18 11/14/18 12 Service Level RP was concerned about the lack of <br />response by EPD to transients <br />trespassing on the property he manages. <br />Lt. spoke with RP about his concerns and the noted the staffing <br />shortages EPD is experiencing. Lt. provided contact information <br />to RP for future issues. <br />11/8/18 12/20/18 42 Inquiry Auditor initiated Defensive Tactics <br />review of a Use of Force incident. <br />Review of the incident found that the use of force was within <br />policy and that a review of controlling handcuffed subjects was in <br />order for one of the officers involved. <br />11/13/18 12/18/18 35 Policy RP was upset that when he requested a <br />body cam video it was no longer <br />available. <br />Supervisor contacted RP to provide information about the <br />retention dates of Body Cams. RP requested the body cam be <br />kept a month past the retention date. <br />11/13/18 11/27/18 14 Performance RP alleged that an officer grabbed her <br />arm and pulled her from a room leaving <br />a bruise. <br />Review of body cam by Cpt. found that RP had been asked to <br />move out of the room by officers as the room was dark with no <br />working lights and another party in the room was partially <br />concealed by a blanket leading to a officer safety issue. When RP <br />wanted to stay, she was pulled through the doorway. No policy <br />violations were found in the interaction. Cpt. spoke with RP <br />about the findings. <br />11/15/18 11/19/18 4 Inquiry RP tried to convince officers that her <br />child had been kidnapped by her ex and <br />was unhappy when they didn't take the <br />child from her ex. <br />Lt. found that the officers followed protocol in determining if the <br />parent had custodial paper work and who was in charge of the <br />child. <br />11/14/18 11/28/18 14 Inquiry RP alleged he was assaulted by an officer <br />in the ambulance on the way to the <br />hospital. <br />Review by Sgt. found that no officers rode in the ambulance with <br />RP. Dismissed at Intake by the Auditor. <br />11/23/18 1/2/19 39 Performance RP was unhappy with a phone <br />interaction with an EPD Supervisor. <br />Review of the phone call did not reveal any violations of policy by <br />the Supervisor.
