Once at <br />the jail it was found that the other agency asked for a cite and <br />release. The officer did then take the person back to the area, <br />which was officer discretion. Sgt. spoke with RP about his <br />findings. <br />12/1/18 1/2/19 31 Inquiry RP was unhappy that officers came to his <br />home very late at night looking for his <br />roommate and were unprofessional with <br />him. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP about staffing and call load issues that at <br />times have officers doing investigations at late hours, he also <br />reviewed his viewing of the body cam with RP and noted that <br />while the officers were pushy they were not unprofessional. Sgt. <br />spoke with officers about RP's perception of the incident. <br />12/3/18 1/2/19 29 Performance RP was unhappy with a process that <br />denied him his custody time with his <br />son. <br />Lt. reviewed Body Cams of the interaction with officers and RP <br />and found that due to the emotionally charged issues at the time <br />officers felt it was better for the minor to leave with his mother. <br />No policy violations were found, and Lt. spoke with RP about his <br />findings. <br />12/3/18 12/4/18 1 Performance <br />Dismissed: <br />Outside <br />Jurisdiction <br />RP reported a traffic stop he felt was <br />odd. <br />Dismissed: Outside Jurisdiction <br />12/3/18 12/4/18 1 Inquiry <br />Dismissed: <br />Alternate <br />Remedy <br />RP was confused that he had been <br />arrested for a minor incident that had <br />happened 9 months before. <br />Dismissed: Alternate Remedy <br />Review found EPD had an Attempt to Locate on RP, and when <br />they made contact the issue was still pending. <br />12/4/18 12/18/18 14 Performance RP reported that EPD is unwilling to help <br />him when he is harassed on the street. <br />Contact with RP was made and he declined to speak with a <br />supervisor about his complaint. <br />12/3/18 12/17/18 14 Performance RP reported an officer who sped through <br />a motel parking lot without lights or <br />sirens. <br />Supervisor reviewed body cam of the incident and understood <br />RP's concern. Sgt. spoke with the officer about his expectations, <br />of safe driving and courtesy to citizens. <br />12/5/18 1/10/19 35 Inquiry RP felt an officer was off base by telling <br />him he could not park his truck and <br />trailer across four parking spaces. <br />Lt. reviewed body and found the officer to be polite and <br />professional while telling RP he was violating park rules.
