Sgt. spoke with RP. <br />2/22/18 4/2/18 40 Policy RP inquired into why no police report <br />was taken when he was hit by a car in <br />the Costco Parking lot. <br />Sgt. reviewed body cam of the incident and the incident report <br />and found that witnesses were spoken to and based on those <br />statements the incident was not a reportable accident. RP and <br />the other party involved exchanged insurance information. <br />2/22/18 3/26/18 34 Policy RP inquired into if he could contact <br />someone by registered mail, even <br />though he had a verbal warning by an <br />officer to not contact the person. <br />Sgt. contacted RP and answered questions he had about the <br />issue. <br />2/22/18 2/23/18 1 Inquiry <br />Dismissed: <br />Other <br />RP felt he was harassed by EPD because <br />they claimed to have a dropped call from <br />the address he was parking his trailer on. <br />Officers insisted on looking in his trailer <br />and other buildings on the property. <br />After review of bodycams by the Auditor's Officer of the incident <br />no policy violations were seen and complaint was Dismissed: <br />Other <br />2/23/18 3/28/18 35 Inquiry RP was upset that officers put him on his <br />back and officers should know not to put <br />hands on him. <br />Body cam showed that the officers were professional with RP in a <br />call for service in which he was being trespassed from a warming <br />center. RP was guided to his buttocks by officers, no force was <br />used and RP was never on his back. <br />2/25/18 3/14/18 19 Service Level RP was unhappy that when he detained <br />someone who had taken mail from a <br />neighbor's box, no one responded. <br />Supervisor found that at the time of the call, RP only knew where <br />the suspect lived, and did not have the person detained, he was <br />told to have the victims notify the police and to not try and <br />detain the suspect. Supervisor spoke with RP. <br />2/26/18 3/15/18 19 Policy RP was concerned about the flashing <br />lights on patrol cars and how they effect <br />people with epilepsy. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP about his concerns and provided resources for <br />contact. <br />2/28/18 4/23/18 53 Performance RP did not believe an officer took the <br />correct action with the violation of a <br />restraining order. <br />Sgt. reviewed CAD for the incident and spoke with the officer. <br />The Sgt. agreed that the officer did not have cause to take action. <br />Sgt. spoke with RP about his findings <br />June 19, 2019, Work Session – Item 2
