October 22,2018 -City Council work session to initiate the second step of the LID process, Urban Renewal Agency Board This section includes Urban Renewal Agency meeting and work sessions: July 27,2016 -Agency Board work session and action authorizing the Agency to enter into an agreement with EWEB to purchase the downtown riverfront property. October 23,2017 -Agency Board approved the Mayor's nominations for seven individuals to serve on the River Guides. February 12,2018 -Agency Board work session and action to approve the boundary expansion to include three properties north of 4th Avenue in the Riverfront Urban Renewal District in order to make it possible to use urban renewal funds to purchase this property from EWEB. March 14,2018 -Agency Board work session and direction to staff to develop a Request for Qualifications (RFQ)process and criteria to solicit community investors,developers,and visionaries to redevelop the Steam Plant. May 29,2018 -Agency Board work session on the proposed terms to develop the Downtown Riverfront site with Williams/Dame &Associates (WDA)as the agent. June 25,2018 -Agency Board public hearing on the proposed terms with WDA.Sixteen people spoke on behalf of the project. July 9,2018 -Agency Board work session to approve the proposed terms with WDA. July 23,2018 -Agency Board work session to approve the proposed terms regarding parcel 10A. October 22,2018 -Agency Board work session to receive a project update and discuss the affordable housing unit quantities on parcel 10A. February 19,2019 -Agency Board work session to provide an update on the Downtown Riverfront project. Public Meetings This section includes neighborhood meetings,commission and committee meetings,and open houses hosted by the City.All public meetings were open to the public to attend and publicized on the City's calendar. November 28,2017 -The River Guides held their first meeting,an orientation. December 12,2017 -The River Guides reviewed a proposed boundary expansion to include 3 parcels north of 4th Avenue in the Riverfront Urban Renewal District.The River Guides recommended to expand the boundary to include the properties north of 4th Avenue in the Riverfront Urban Renewal District. April 10,2018 -City Staff met with the Sustainability Commission Riverfront Committee. April 17,2018 -The River Guides reviewed and provided input on the proposed RFQ/RFP process and criteria for the Steam Plant.The River Guides recommendations were incorporated in materials presented to Council.
