December 5, 2006

Eugene Planning Commission
c/ 0 Terri Harding
Eugene Planning Division
99 W. 10th Ave.
Eugene, OR 97401

Dear Commission, Members)

One of the frrst things I immediately noticed about Eugene was how livable and well planned the city is. It's a very
desirable place to live and I realize that as Eugene grows we must increase urban population densities in order to save
wetlands and curtail sprawl, but this growth should be well planned and thought out. It should be done in a manner
that is agreeable to both the city of Eugene and to the neighborhoods and residents that will be directly affected by the
changes. Our input is invaluable. I am a designer by profession and am trained to see the importance of aesthetic
standards and cohesiveness.

I strongly encourage ypu to support adopting in-fill standards thatwill preserve the unique character of our
neighborhood. As a ~ear resident of the Jefferson Westside neighborhood, I cherish the aesthetic standards of our
homes and streets as much as I cherish the neighbors that live within it. I am therefore taking this time to encourage
you to support a moratorium on rezoning and to reopen the channels of communication with the JWN board
members in order to 'ltlork together to find a solution to the concerns we aU. share over infill..

Thank you for taking the time to hear and read the input/feedback of the people living in such a wonderful
neighborhood.

Sincerely,

~ Pad-

Sara Pritt

343 W. 16th
Eugene, OR 97401

111-42
