<br />Driveways: Clarifications on the preferred locations and number of driveways has been made <br />? <br /> <br />to driveway related code language. <br />System Development Charges: The terminology for stormwater was updated and clarification <br />? <br /> <br />on where to file an appeal was made. <br /> <br /> <br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />This item relates to the 2007 City Council Goal: A government that works openly, collaboratively, <br />and fairly with the community to achieve measurable and positive outcomes. <br /> <br />Financial Management Goals and Polices (February 2004): <br /> <br />Policy C.2. The City Council will establish cost recovery policies for fee supported services <br />which consider the relative public/private benefits received from the services being provided <br />and/or the desirability of providing access to services for specialized populations. These policies <br />will determine the percent range of full service costs to be recovered through fees. The level of <br />cost recovery will be routinely adjusted to ensure that rates are current, equitable, and <br />competitive and cover that percentage of the total cost deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />Policy G.1. The City will comply with mandatory Federal, State, and local laws and regulations <br />and, when appropriate, will comply with industry and professional requirements or standards. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br />The City Council may: <br /> <br />1.Direct the City Manager to hold a public hearing on the ordinance concerning public improvements <br />on July 16, 2007. <br /> <br />2.Direct the City Manager to make modifications to the proposed ordinance concerning public <br />improvements and hold a public hearing on the ordinance concerning public improvements on <br />July 16, 2007. <br /> <br />3.Take no action. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The City Manager recommends holding a public hearing on the ordinance concerning public <br />improvements on July 16, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> <br />No motion is suggested: this is a work session only. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />A.
