<br />D. Where inspection results in a determination that hazardous <br />materials are present in violation of a permit, or applicable federal, <br />state or local law, the cost of the inspection may be assessed <br />against any person responsible. <br />E. Where the fire department determines that special expertise is <br />necessary to inspect a facility or determine compliance with a <br />permit or applicable federal, state or local law, the fire department <br />may either: <br />(i) Require that a person responsible hire a person with the <br />required expertise, who is acceptable to the fire department, <br />to perform a facility inspection; or <br />(ii) Hire a person with the required expertise to perform a <br />facility inspection and assess the cost of the inspection <br />against any person responsible. <br />c. Appeals. Appeals from the denial or revocation of a permit, or issuance of <br />a permit with conditions, shall be conducted in accordance with Section <br />2.021 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br /> <br />3. Section 105.6.27 of the OFC is amended to provide: <br /> <br />105.6.27 <br /> <br />LP-gas. <br />1. An operational permit issued by the City of Eugene is required for storage <br />and use of LP-gas in individual container(s) exceeding 125 water gallons <br />or more in the aggregate. <br />Exception: An operational permit is not required for individual <br />containers serving occupancies in Group R-3 as defined in Chapter <br />2 of the Fire Code. <br /> <br />4. Section 105.6.43 of the OFC is amended to provide: <br /> <br />105.6.43 <br /> <br />Temporary membrane structures, tents, and canopies. An operational permit <br />is required for temporary membrane structures, tents, and canopies meeting the <br />requirements of Section 2403.2. <br /> <br />5. Section 105.7 of the OFC is amended by adding subsection 105.7.14 to the OFC, to <br />provide: <br /> <br />105.7.14 <br /> <br />A permit shall be obtained and plans submitted through the City of Eugene Permit <br />and Information Center prior to the construction, installation, alteration, or <br />augmentation of the following: <br />a. Alternate fire protection systems (C02, foam, industrial dry chemical, <br />alternate gas, standpipes, fire pumps, water mist, water tanks, etc.) <br />b.
