MEMORANDUM <br />City of Eugene, City Hall Complex Master Plan <br />Proposed Implementation Plan Phase 3B Scope <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Latino and Youth outreach: <br />perform specific outreach to Latino groups through bi-lingual <br />informational outreach and presentations at various events such as Latino Parents’ Group, <br />Joventud Faceta, LEAD, Cinco de Mayo, We Are Bethel, and the Latino Market. Perform specific <br />outreach to youth by working with school and community organizations to offer presentations and <br />create opportunities for high school community service hours. <br /> <br />Speakers Bureau <br />: schedule, participate in and summarize up to (20) presentations to build <br />project awareness in the community. Recruit participation at forums, and engage those following <br />the project through news media outlets. Presentations are anticipated at Chamber of Commerce <br />meetings, local Rotary Clubs, the City Club, Human Rights Commission, Planning Commission, <br />and similar groups. <br /> <br />Website/Comment Line <br />: enhance existing project website to promote information sharing and <br />create more links to other organizations’ websites; provide updates at key decisions or <br />milestones; continue to include information in Spanish; maintain telephone comment line and a <br />TTY line. Estimated expenses include use of an independent website server to facilitate design <br /> <br />team management and updates. <br /> <br />Displays <br />: develop a series of freestanding displays for use at community gathering spots <br />(Library, Saturday Market, malls, etc.) describing current work efforts and updated (2) times. <br />Displays will be provided in both English and Spanish. <br /> <br />Media <br />: continue to develop consistent news media exposure in print, TV, and radio including (4) <br />visits to local editorial boards, (3) articles for community publications, (8) radio interviews and (4) <br />television appearances. <br /> <br /> <br />733 sw oak street, Portland, Oregon 97205 telephone 503·227·1254 fax 503·227·7818 <br />
