Appendices <br />Although not listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gray/ Jaqua house <br />on Highway 126 east of Springfield is considered one of the oldest existing buildings in <br />the City of Springfield and is currently being developed into a City park. <br />Throughout the year, the Cities of Eugene and Springfield have many community <br />events and annual traditions. A few examples include: the Eugene Marathon; track and <br />field events at University of Oregon's Hayward Field, and the weekend markets in both <br />Eugene and Springfield. <br />Critical Facilities <br />Critical facilities are facilities that are essential to government response and recovery <br />activities (e.g., hospitals, police, and fire stations). The interruption or destruction of <br />any of these facilities would have a debilitating effect on incident management. <br />The City of Eugene owns and manages the following facilities: <br />• Eleven fire stations and a training center <br />• Three police stations <br />• A Public Works facility on Roosevelt Boulevard <br />The City of Eugene and the City of Springfield participate in joint management of the <br />regional wastewater treatment facility. <br />As the Lane County seat, Eugene also contains several county government facilities <br />including the Lane County Sheriffs Office and Lane County Jail. <br />The City of Springfield owns and manages the following facilities: <br />• City Hall <br />• Five fire stations <br />• The Springfield Justice Center Facility containing the police department, jail, <br />and courts <br />• The Maintenance Division facility <br />The following utilities are locally owned and operated, and work in close partnership <br />with the City of Eugene and the City of Springfield.
