Eugene -Springfield Area Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan <br />1. Mitigation Planning <br />submitted the NHMP 2020 to Bonneville Power Administration (BPA)s and <br />neighboring jurisdictions' for review. <br />Step 6 - FEMA and neighboring jurisdictions reviewed the plan and provided <br />comment, requested revisions, and/or retractions by the Cities or their sub - <br />plan holders. <br />Step 7 - Upon the Cities completion of the requested edits, FEMA provided all <br />entities an "Approvable Pending Adoption" letter at which point the plan <br />was adopted by local governing bodies. <br />Step 8 - After the plan was adopted by all entities, the adoption resolution was <br />submitted to FEMA. Once FEMA received this documentation each multi - <br />jurisdictional holder was awarded their approval letter. <br />Step 9 - The City of Eugene and City of Springfield elected Councils provided final <br />jurisdictional approval as the governing body for the City of Eugene and the <br />City of Springfield. <br />Following completion of the nine -step approval process Eugene, Springfield, <br />EWEB, RWD, and SUB became eligible for the Pre -Disaster Mitigation Grant <br />Program, the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, and the Flood Mitigation Assistance <br />Program. Throughout the process both Cities worked closely with sub -plan holders <br />to add their annexes. This review and subsequent update adheres to the provisions <br />and federal criteria outlined in the FEMA Interim Final Rule 44 CFR Part 201. <br />1.8.2 Implementation Coordination (2020 and Beyond) <br />Convening <br />Eugene and Springfield Emergency Management will jointly maintain a Project <br />Team to oversee the implementation, by the Steering Committee, of the Eugene - <br />Springfield NHMP. <br />Eugene and Springfield Project Team responsibilities include: <br />• Coordinating Steering Committee meeting dates, times, locations, agendas, <br />and member notification; <br />• Documenting outcomes of Committee meetings; <br />• Engaging Advisory Board members; <br />• Incorporating, maintaining, and updating the jurisdiction's natural hazard risk <br />GIS data elements; <br />e BPA is cited as a source of power by our sub -plan holders. <br />e Coburg, Cottage Grove, Creswell, Junction City, Lane County, Santa Clara, and Veneta. <br />1-14 January 2020 <br />
