7. ACTION: An Ordinance Concerning Shared Micromobility Devices, Amending Section 3.005 <br />of the Eugene Code, 1971, Adding Sections 3.570, 3.572 and 3.574 to that Code; and <br />Authorizing a Pilot Program <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Semple, seconded by Councilor Yeh, moved to adopt the <br />Ordinance Concerning Shared Micromobility Devices, Amending Section 3.005 of the <br />Eugene Code, 1971, Adding Sections 3.570, 3.572, and 3.574 to that Code; and <br />Authorizing a Pilot Program. PASSED 7:1, Councilor Taylor opposed. <br />8. ACTION: An Ordinance Concerning the Use of Micromobility Devices and Amending Sections <br />5.010 and 5.160 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Semple, seconded by Councilor Yeh, moved to adopt the <br />Ordinance Concerning the Use of Micromobility Devices and Amending Sections 5.010 <br />and 5.160 of the Eugene Code, 1971. PASSED 7:1, Councilor Taylor opposed. <br />9. ACTION: An Ordinance Reducing the Speed Limit to 20 Miles Per Hour on Local Streets in <br />Residential Areas <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Semple, seconded by Councilor Yeh, moved to adopt the <br />Ordinance Reducing the Speed Limit to 20 Miles Per Hour on Local Streets in Residential <br />Areas. PASSED 7:1, Councilor Taylor opposed. <br />Council Discussion <br />• Councilor Clark - expressed appreciation that this initiative is coming to fruition. <br />• Councilor Zelenka - inquired about the process for identifying the streets that will be affected. <br />• Councilor Semple - said this is important legislation; asked about the cost for changing the <br />speed limit signs. <br />10. ACTION: An Ordinance Concerning State Traffic Laws; Amending Section 5.005 of the <br />Eugene Code, 1971; and Providing an Immediate Effective Date <br />MOTION AND VOTE: Councilor Semple, seconded by Councilor Yeh, moved to adopt an <br />Ordinance Concerning State Traffic Laws; Amending Section 5.005 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971; and Providing an Immediate Effective Date.
