ORDINANCE NO. 20227 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE DOWNTO~N MALL; <br />AMENDING THE SUNSET PROVISIONS OF SECTION 2 OF <br />ORDINANCE NO. 20121 AND SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 20122; REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 20149, <br />ORD]INANCE NO. 20150, AND SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF <br />ORDINANCE NO. 20196; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> The City Conncil of the City of Eugene finds that: <br /> <br /> On June 8, 1998 Ordinance No. 20121 was passed by the Cky Council and approved <br />by the Mayor adding a new Section 4.874 to the Eugene Code, 1971 authorizing the exclusion of law <br />violators from the downtown rnall in accordance with the procedures set l~brth in that section. On <br />that same date, Ordinance No. 20122 was passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor <br />adding a new Subsection (3) to Section 4~680 of the Eugene Code, 1971 prohibiting persons from <br />being within the Broadway portion of the downtown mall between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 <br />a.ra. except as provided in that section. <br /> <br /> Section 2 of Ordinance No. 20121, which was not included in the Code~ provided for <br />the automatic repeal of Ordinance No. 20121 mad Section 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971~ effective <br />midnight, March 31, 1999. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 20150~ passed by the City Council and <br />approved by the Mayor on March 15, 1999, extended the automatic repeal date to midnight, April <br />30,2001. Ordinance No. 20150 should be repealed, and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 20121 amended <br />to provide that Ordinance No. 20121 and Section 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971 be repealed, <br />effective midnight, July 31,2001. <br /> <br /> Section 3 of Ordinance No. 20122, which was not included in the Code, provided for <br /> <br />Ordinance- 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
