the automatic repeal of Ordinance No. 20122 and Subsection (3) of Section 4.680 of the Eugene <br />Code, 1971, effective midnight, March 31, 1999. Ordinance No. 20149, passed by the City Council <br />and approved by the Mayor on March 15, 1999, amended Subsection (3) of Section 4.680 and <br />extended the automatic repeal date to midnight, April 30, 2001. Ordinance No. 20149 should be <br />repealed, and Section 3 of Ordinance No. 20122 amended to provide that Ordinance No. 20122 and <br />Sribsection (3) of Section 4.680 oft he Eugene Code, 1971 be repealed, effective midnight, July 31, <br />2001. <br /> <br /> D. Sections 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 20196 passed 'by the Cotmcil and approved by the <br /> <br />Mayor on May 8, 2000 revised Sections 4.680(3) and 4.874 of the Eugene Code, 1971, and those <br />sections should be repealed, effective rnidnight, July 31,2001. <br /> <br /> E. The possibility- of reopening Broadway to vehicular traffic is currently being <br />considered. Such action would necessitate revisions to provisions of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />including those referenced above. In the interim, it would be in the public interest to continue the <br />current provisions authorizing the exclusion of law violators from the described portions of the <br /> <br />downtown mall for an additional 90 day period as provided above. <br /> Now, therefore, <br /> <br /> THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES O~AIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Based on the above findings, which are adopted herein, Ordinance No. 20150 <br />passed by the Council and approved by the Mayor on March 15, 1999 is hereby repealed, and Section <br />2 of Ordinance No. 20121 passed by the Cormcil and approved by the Mayor on June 8, 1998 is <br />amended to provide: <br /> <br /> "Section 2.
