What is the projected future enrollment at the U of <br />O? <br /> <br />Response: Mike Eyster of the University of Oregon’s housing office reports that the <br />degree to which students live off-campus is very much related to the local real estate <br />market, including cost, availability, and the profile of the student body. Toward one end <br />of the spectrum Portland State University has 26,608 students and only 1,863 (7%) live <br />on campus. On the other end, 81% of Stanford University students live on-campus <br />because the university has the supply and market-rate housing in Palo Alto is very <br />expensive. Also, at Stanford there are only 6,600 undergraduate students out of 19,800 <br />total enrollments. “The Association of College and University Housing Officers <br />International” collects data.
