(Policy 2) <br /> <br />(9) Getting Around Downtown. <br /> <br />(a) The city should Ddevelop a transportation system that supports the vision <br /> of a vital downtown and provides for the safe and efficient movement of <br /> automobiles, pedestrians, bicycles, and emergency and transit vehicles. <br /> (Policy 1 ) <br /> <br />(b) The city should Kkeep downtown Eugene in the forefront of alternative <br /> modes and accessibility accommodation through strategic planning and <br /> public investment.
