the Broadway portion of the mall, which is defined as the area of Broadway from the east margin of <br />Charnelton Street to the west margin of Oak Street. The prohibition of this subsection does not apply <br />to persons who reside within that area, to employees and/or owners of businesses within that area, or <br />to persons who walk through that area without stopping. <br />Section 2. Section (3) of Ordinance No. 20122 passed by the Council and approved by the <br />Mayor on June 8, 1998 is hereby amended to provide: <br />Section 3. This ordinance, including the addition of a new subsection (3) to section <br />4.680, is repealed effective midnight, Apri130, 2001. <br />Section 3. The City Recorder is requested to attach a copy of this Ordinance to Ordinance <br />No. 20122. <br />Section 4. That the matters contained herein concern the public health, welfare and safety and <br />therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor, retention by the Mayor <br />for more than ten days, or readoption over a Mayoral veto by two-thirds of all members of the City <br />Council. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />15th day of March, 1999 <br />/s/ Kathleen A.
