ORDINANCE NO . ~2 7 ~i <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING JURISDICTION OVER <br />PORTIONS OF THE CHAMBERS STREET CONNECTOR, A <br />COUNTY ROAD LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF EUGENE; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />A. By Ordinance No. 19738 the City~Council requested the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon to release <br />jurisdiction of the Chambers Street Connector, composed of the <br />county roads more particularly described on Exhibit A to Ordinance <br />No, 19738. <br />B . 0n March 2 7 , 19 91 the Lane County Board o f Commi s s Toners , <br />pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement for Urban Transition <br />which calls far the proposed surrender, adopted Resolution and <br />Order No. 91-3-27-19 setting a public hearing to be held on May 1, <br />1991 on the proposed surrender of the Chambers Connector and the <br />exit ramps described on Exhibit A to the Resolution and Order. <br />C. The description attached to Lane County Resolution and <br />Order No. 91-3-27-19 includes right of way in Roosevelt Boulevard <br />not included in Exhibit A to City of Eugene ordinance No. 19738, <br />and eliminates approximately 400' of the Chambers Connector <br />included in Exhibit A to City of Eugene Ordinance No. 19738. <br />D. Notice of the hearing was duly posted as required by ORS <br />373.270, and on May 1, 1991 the Lane County Board of Commissioners <br />held a public hearing, and by Final Order Na. 91-5-1-18 surrendered <br />to the City of Eugene jurisdiction over the Chambers Connector and <br />exit ramps as described on Exhibit A thereto, which lies inside <br />the corporate limits of the City. <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
