I ~l ~ 3 C~ <br />AN GRDINANCE PR(]VIDING FGR WIT]®RA'~AL <br />GF ARIES ~RDDERICK, C EU 91-23 AND <br />COG C EU 91-24~ FRQM THE SANTA CLARA <br />WATER DISTRICT, AND THE WITHDRAWAL OF <br />4RIES GREEN VALLEY, EC EU 91-30; <br />HD , EC EU 91-31; AND KI'T~1~ES4N, C EU 91- <br />42} FRUM THE RIVER RGAD WATER DISTRICT <br />AND RIVER RUAD PARK & RECREATIGN <br />DISTRICT <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution Na. 4298 adopted <br />January 27,1992, proposed withdrawal from the Santa Clara water District the parts <br />of the District annexed to the City an September 16, 1991 b Final Order Nas. 944 <br />Y <br />and 945 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, as <br />hereinafter more particularly described; and proposed withdrawal from the River <br />Road water District and River Raad Park ~ Recreation District the parts of the <br />Districts annexed to the City on September 3, 1991 by Notices dated actober 28, <br />1991 of the Lane County Local Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter <br />more particularly described; and the parts of the Districts annexed to the City on <br />January 21, 1992 by Final Grder No. 948 of the Lane County Local Government <br />Boundary Commission, as hereinafter mare particularly described. <br />The Resolution set February 19,1992, at 12:4(1 o'clock noon, Pacific Time, in <br />the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, Oregon, as the time and place far <br />hearing objections to the withdrawals, and directed that notice of the time and place <br />of the hearing be published once each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the <br />hearing and be posted in four public places in the City far the same period, <br />The Notice has been so published in the Register Guard and posted in four <br />public places in the City of Eugene, Oregon. <br />The City is willing to assume the liabilities and indebtedness previously <br />contracted by the Districts proportionate to the parts of the Districts that have been <br />annexed to the City upon the effective date of the withdrawals. <br />The withdrawals of the annexed territories from the Districts is consistent with <br />the fundamental principles and applicable policies of the Eugene-Springfield <br />Metropolitan Area General Plan, and other adopted City policies, and it is in the <br />best interest of the City that the territories be withdrawn. <br />Grdinance -1 <br />
