MYERS ROAD - HEARING MEMO <br />April 20, 1992 <br />Page 2 <br />ASSESSMENT <br />Under City of Eugene assessment policy, 58 percent of the improve- <br />ment costs will be assessed to the abutting property owners, with <br />the balance born by the City. City cost includes $3,518.16 for <br />sanitary sewer, $25,970.52 storm sewer and $2,175.14 intersection, <br />The costs to be assessed are shown below: <br />Driveways <br />20-foot paving <br />$ 3.61/sq. foot <br />$ 51.88/front foot <br />Costs listed below are the Engineer's estimate and preliminary <br />costs quoted to property owners at the initial Local Improvement <br />District hearing following bid opening: <br />Driveways $ 5,78/sq. foot <br />24-foot paving $ 53.79/front foot <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The final cysts are lower than preliminary costs quoted at the <br />local improvement hearing and are comparable to projects of this <br />size. Staff recommends approval of the assessment distribution. <br />
