The goal provides far flexibility in <br />location, type, and density of housing for both rental and owner occupied units. <br />Findings: <br />1 } The Diagram amendment shown in area 5 (see attached map), redesignating area south <br />of Harlow from Community Commercial to Medium Density Residential provides for <br />increased opportunities to develop affordable medium density housing. <br />2} The Diagram amendment shown in area 4 see attached map}, primarily redesignating <br />existing high density apartment complexes to High Density Residential, acknowledges <br />existing apartments as conforming uses. <br />Goal 12) Transportation <br />Goal 12 provides for safe, convenient, and economic transportation systems and the consideration of <br />all modes of transportation. <br />Findings: <br />1 } The Diagram amendment shown in area 5 {see attached map} is intended, in part, to <br />reduce potential traffic congestion associated with future development in the area. <br />Goal 131 Enerc~v Conservation <br />Goal 13 prescribes that sand uses shall be managed and controlled in a manner that maximizes ever <br />9Y <br />conservatian.
